Flooring & materials guide
The choices behind a great floor.
Hardwood or waterproof vinyl? Tile or carpet? The right floor depends as much on how you live — kids, pets, moisture, traffic — as on how it looks. Here's an honest, plain-English guide to the products we supply and install, and what each is genuinely best for. It's the sort of thing we'll talk you through in person, too.
01
Hardwood
Hallmark Windsor Park Hardwood
Best for: Character-grade engineered wood · living areas
The Windsor Park Collection by Hallmark is a favorite of ours — wire-brushed engineered hardwood with real texture and depth, 3/8" thick and backed by a 50-year residential warranty. Engineered construction makes it more stable across the seasons than solid wood, so it's a great fit for open-plan living areas and homes with real temperature swings, while still giving you the look and feel of a genuine wood floor.
- Wire-brushed · 3/8"
- 50-year residential warranty
- Great for open-plan
02
Hardwood
Mohawk & Impressions Hardwoods
Best for: Wide choice of species, colors & widths
Alongside Hallmark we carry Mohawk and Impressions hardwoods, which between them cover a huge span of species, stains and plank widths — from warm classic oak to cooler, contemporary tones. Whether you're matching existing wood elsewhere in the house or starting fresh, there's a real floor here to suit the room and the light, all supplied and installed by our own crew.
- Mohawk & Impressions
- Solid & engineered
- Many colors & widths
03
Luxury vinyl
PRO Solution Luxury Vinyl (LVP)
Best for: Kitchens · baths · pets & kids · high traffic
PRO Solution LVP is our workhorse floor for real family life: 100% waterproof, with a tough 20-mil wear layer and an attached pad for comfort and quiet, backed by a 30-year residential warranty. It shrugs off spills, pets and heavy traffic, convincingly mimics wood or stone, and can go where hardwood can't — kitchens, bathrooms and basements included. Practical, good-looking and forgiving.
- 100% waterproof
- 20-mil wear layer
- 30-year residential warranty
04
Tile
Arley & Happy Floors Tile
Best for: Bathrooms · backsplashes · stone-look floors
For tile we work with Arley and Happy Floors — porcelain and ceramic ranges that cover bathroom floors and shower surrounds, kitchen backsplashes, entryways and stone- and marble-look designs. We set it over properly prepared, waterproofed surfaces and grout it to a standard that holds up, so a tiled bathroom or a crisp subway backsplash still looks right years later.
- Arley & Happy Floors
- Floor, wall & backsplash
- Set & sealed to last
05
Carpet
Mohawk Carpet
Best for: Bedrooms · stairs · warmth underfoot
When you want softness and quiet — bedrooms, stairs, family rooms — we supply and install Mohawk carpet, including Made-in-America product lines. We'll help you balance plushness against durability and pick a color that hides everyday life, then measure, stretch and fit it professionally, hauling the old flooring away as part of the job.
- Mohawk · Made in America options
- Plush to hard-wearing
- Measured & fitted
06
Countertops
Quartz & Stone Countertops
Best for: Kitchen & bath remodels · durable surfaces
As part of our kitchen and bath remodels we supply and install quartz and natural-stone countertops, templated to your actual space and paired with a tiled backsplash, an undermount sink and the faucet and hardware to finish the run. Quartz gives you a hard-wearing, low-maintenance surface in a wide range of looks; stone brings natural character. Either way, it's fitted alongside the cabinetry and flooring so everything matches.
- Quartz & natural stone
- Templated & installed
- Backsplash to match
07
Kitchens
Shaker Cabinetry
Best for: Kitchen remodels · timeless, family-friendly
Our kitchen remodels are built around shaker cabinets — the clean, timeless style that suits almost any home and ages well rather than dating. Available in a choice of colors and finished with quality hardware, they anchor a full remodel that also brings in the countertop, backsplash, sink, faucet and, of course, the flooring underneath, all coordinated by one crew.
- Shaker doors · color choices
- New hardware & sink
- Demolition included
08
Refinishing
Sand & Refinish
Best for: Reviving existing solid hardwood
Sometimes the best floor is the one you already have. We sand back worn solid hardwood, make repairs, and re-stain and re-seal it in the color and sheen you want — a natural matte, a warmer tone, whatever suits the room. It's a fraction of the cost and mess of a full replacement, and a smart move before a sale or a fresh start in a new home.
- Sanded, stained & sealed
- Matte to satin finishes
- Cost-effective revival
